This section explains how to configure bandwidth restrictions when the users login at the WiFi hotspot.
The responsibility of enforcing bandwidth restrictions lie with the NAS gateway or controller. WiFiLAN is responsible for sending the correct attributes (RADIUS attributes) to the NAS gateway during authentication. These attributes determine what bandwidth limits will be enforced on the user.
Bandwidth attributes are usually Vendor Specific attributes (VSA) and hence are different for each NAS gateway. Please refer to your vendor's technical documentation to understand what values need to be configured for your NAS gateway. WiFiLAN provides option to configure the VSA for each vendor.
