How to blocks torrents in UNIBOX?

UNIBOX allows you to configure the traffic analysis rule on UNIBOX. Traffic analysis allows administrators to keep track of the traffic which flows through UNIBOX.

The type of category is used to distinguish the type of traffic. Rule distinguishes the traffic of particular type within category depending on various criteria.

To block torrents in UNIBOX

  1. Open web browser. Type 10.10.10.1 (gateway IP), or type http://login.secureunibox.com/(domain name) and press Enter.
  2. UNIBOX Administration screen appears. Click the Control tab.
  3. Click Configurations link (in the left pane) under Traffic Analysis link. Control :: Configurations page appears.

  4. Click the Enable Traffic Analysis check box, and click Submit.

  5. Click Add Rule Select Category drop down menu gets enabled.

  6. Select the type of traffic to be analysed from the Select Category drop down menu. Select Rule drop down menu gets enabled.

 

Fields & Buttons

Description

Protocol Name

For Custom Rule select protocol name from the Protocol Name drop down menu.

This will be disabled in Predifined Rule.

Source IP

Enter the Source IP address for which this rule should be applied in the Source IP field.

Source Port

For Custom Rule enter souce port number in the Source Port field.

This will be disabled in Predifined Rule.

Destination IP

Enter the Destination IP address for which this rule should be applied in the Destination IP field.

Destination Port

For Custom Rule enter destination port number.

This will be disabled in Predifined Rule.

Action

Email

Check the Email check box to send the email to the corresponding email address. Enter the email address in the field.

Restrictions

Check the Restrictions to apply the new usage restrictions to the connected user’s runtime.

Submit

Click Submit to save the changes.
