What are the modes of Authentication in UNIBOX?

UNIBOX allows administrator to Authenticate in 3 modes:

  • No Authentication: All users are connected to Internet without any authentication. UNIBOX has no authentication.
  • Local Authentication: All authentication requests are handled locally and authentication data is logged in UNIBOX. UNIBOX uses the local RADIUS server
  • Remote Authentication: UNIBOX sends all authentication and accounting request to external RADIUS server. UNIBOX uses one of the configured profiles.

Administrator can also enable auto login for MAC users.

To select Authentication mode, and add Auto Login for MAC users

  1. Open web browser. Type 10.10.10.1 (gateway IP), or type http://login.secureunibox.com/(domain name) and press Enter.
  2. UNIBOX Administration screen appears. Click Authentication tab.
  3. Click Authentication Mode link (in the left pane) under Profile link. Authentication :: Authentication Mode page appears.

  4. Select one radio button for the Authentication Mode. There are 3 options:

  • No Authentication
  • Local Authentication
  • Remote Authentication

  5. Select the Enable Autologin check box under Autologin Information to enable the MAC authentication for the users.

  6. Click Save to save the changes.
