How to do Billing Configuration

WiFiLan allows admin to manage and configure Billing gateways, and define plans for users.

To configure billing

  1. Click Billing drop down menu (in the left pane).
  2. Click Billing Config tab under Admin link (in the left pane). Configure Billing page is displayed.

Description

Billing Cycle

Select the billing cycle time from the Billing Cycle drop down menu. It is the time of the day when the billing cycle should be invoked.

Cycle Frequency (days)

Enter the billing frequency number of days in the Cycle Frequency (days) field.

From Billing Email

Enter the email address from where the billing emails will be sent to the subscribers in the From Billing Email field.

Notify Registrations

Select Notify Registrations check box to notify new registrations to the email address given in the next field.

Billing Summary Emails

Enter the email address (es) in the Billing Summary Emails field. It is the email address (es) (separated by comma) which will receive the billing summary emails from the billing server.

Daily Signup Emails

Enter the email address (es) in the Daily Signup Emails field. It is the email address (es) (separated by comma) which will receive the notification on the user signup.

Signup Receipt Template

Select signup receipt template from the Signup Receipt Template drop down menu. It is the template sent to the customer on the signup.

Monthly Receipt Template

Select monthly receipt template from the Monthly Receipt Template drop down menu. It is the template sent to customer when the customer’s credit card is charged.

Card Decline template

Select card decline template from the Card Decline Template drop down menu. It is the template sent to the customer when the credit card is declined by the merchant gateway.

Card Expiring Template

Select card expiring template from the Card Expiring Template drop down menu. It is the email template sent to the customer when the credit card is due to expire.

Renewal Template

Select renewal template from the Renewal Template drop down menu. It is the email template sent to the customer when the customer’s account needs to be renewed.

Account Expired Template

Select account expired template from the Account Expired Template drop down menu. It is the email template sent to the customer when the customer’s account will expire.

Max Failed Attempts

Enter the number of failed attempts in the Max Failed Attempts field. It is the number of times the billing server will try charging the customer’s credit card. On exceeding the attempts the customer’s account may be suspended, and the customer will be notified.

Note: Transaction cost may be incurred for each failed attempt.

On Fail Action

Select the radio button for On Fail Action. The options are:

·         Suspend: Suspends the customer’s account when the credit card transaction fails.

·         Restrict: Restricts the customer’s account when the credit card transaction fails.

Select the group from the drop down menu.

Release On Success

Select Release On Success check box to release the customer’s account (active) when the customer’s credit card transaction succeeds after it was failed previously.

Verify Card Updates

Select Verify Card Updates check box to verify the customer’s credit card when customer updates credit card from the account management portal.

Submit

Click Submit to save the changes.
