how to view different types of Billing Reports

WiFiLan provides administrator to view different types of reports to keep track of revenue generated and expenses incurred within billing module. Reports are displayed in tabular and graphical format, and can be customized on various parameters.

The different types of reports are:

  • Card Revenue By Date
  • Card Revenue By Plan
  • Card Revenue By Location
  • Refund Reports
  • Promotion Usage Reports
  • Prepaid Reports
  • Signup Reports
  • Plan Voucher Reports
  • PMS Card Revenue Report

 

Card Revenue By Date

Card Revenue By Date report provides a graphical view of the revenues against time. Administrators can select a particular time interval from the calendar of Time Interval and select the Time Unit.

To view Card Revenue By Date report

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click Card Revenue By Date report from the Reports table.
  4. Select the dates from the calendar for Time Interval
  5. Select the time unit from the Time Unit drop down menu. The options are:
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Year
  1. Click Display Report The report will be displayed below the page.

Card Revenue By Plan

Card Revenue By Plan report displays the revenue collected for different plans over a specified time interval. The report is displayed in a tabular format, sorted by the name of the plan. The revenues for each time unit are displayed in the remaining columns and the individual amounts are summed up in the total column.

Note: If the time interval is too large and the time unit is too small, then an error will be flagged. The administrator needs to readjust the time interval or time unit to generate a viewable report.

To view Card Revenue By Plan report

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click Card Revenue By Plan report from the Reports table.
  4. Select the dates from the calendar for Time Interval
  5. Select the time unit from the Time Unit drop down menu. The options are:
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Year
  1. Select the plan from the Select Plan drop down menu.
  2. Click Display Report The report will be displayed below the page.

Card Revenue By Plan

Card Revenue By Location

Card Revenue By Location report displays the revenue generated for different location over a given time period in a tabular format. The administrator needs to select the interval and time unit (granularity), and select the location of the report.

Note: If the time interval is too large and the time unit is too small, then an error will be flagged. The administrator needs to readjust the time interval or time unit to generate a viewable report.

To view Card Revenue By Location report

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click Card Revenue By Location report from the Reports table.
  4. Select the dates from the calendar for Time Interval
  5. Select the time unit from the Time Unit drop down menu. The options are:
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Year
  1. Select the plan from the Select Plan drop down menu.
  2. Click Display Report The report will be displayed below the page.

Refund Reports

Refund Reports reports displays a graphical view of the total number of credits done over a particular time period. Administrator need to select the time interval and time unit (granularity) of the report. The dates are listed on the X-axis and the credited or refunded amount is displayed on Y-axis.

Sometimes administrators need to refund back the amount that was charged to the customer. The credit function in WiFiLAN allows administrators to run credits transactions on end-user’s credit cards. The specified amount is automatically deposited back into user’s bank account or on his credit card.

 

To view Refund Reports

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click Refund Report report from the Reports table.
  4. Select the dates from the calendar for Time Interval
  5. Select the time unit from the Time Unit drop down menu. The options are:
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Year
  1. Click Display Report The report will be displayed below the page.

Location Refund Report

To view Location Refund report

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click the Location Refund Report tab besides Refund Report
  4. Click Location Refund Report from the Reports table.
  5. Select the dates from the calendar for Time Interval
  6. Select the time unit from the Time Unit drop down menu. The options are:
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Year
  1. Select the plan from the Select Plan drop down menu.
  2. Click Display Report The report will be displayed below the page.

Promotion Usage Reports

Promotion Usage Reports displays the graphical report of promotion over a given period of time. The total number of promotional codes used by an end user are on the Y axis and the time duration on the X axis. The administrator can know the effectiveness of the promotion campaign.

To view Promotion Usage reports

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click Promotion Usage Report from the Reports table.
  4. Select the type of the report from the Report Type drop down menu.
  5. Select the dates from the calendar for Time Interval
  6. Select the time unit from the Time Unit drop down menu. The options are:
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Year
  1. Select the promotions from the Select Promotions drop down box.
  2. Click Display Report The report will be displayed below the page.

Promotion Usage Report

Promotion Summary Report

Promotion Summary Report displays the summary information of all the campaigns. The table displays the total number of used and unused codes for each promotion defined in WiFiLan.

To view Promotion Summary Report

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click the Promotion Summary Report tab besides Promotion Usage Report Promotion Summary Report page will be displayed.

Prepaid Report

Prepaid Report displays usage reports for prepaid coupons and cards. The reports are generated for the selected device. WiFiLan provides administrator to view 3 different types of reports.

  • Prepaid Session Vs Time: This report displays total number of prepaid sessions against the selected time interval.
  • Total Prepaid Usage Vs time: This report displays cumulative duration of all prepaid cards over a selected time interval.
  • Unique Prepaid Users Vs Time: This report displays unique number of prepaid cards over the selected time interval.

To view Prepaid Reports

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click Prepaid Report from the Reports table.
  4. Select the type of the report from the Report Type drop down menu.
  5. Select the dates from the calendar for Time Interval
  6. Select the time unit from the Time Unit drop down menu. The options are:
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Year
  1. Select the device from the Select Device drop down box.
  2. Click Display Report The report will be displayed below the page.

Prepaid Revenue Report

Prepaid revenue report displays usage reports for prepaid coupons and cards for the selected location or group. The reports are generated for the selected location or group.

 

To view Prepaid Revenue reports

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click Prepaid Report from the Reports table.
  4. Click Prepaid Revenue Report tab (beside Prepaid Usage tab). Prepaid Revenue Report page will be displayed.
  5. Select the dates from the calendar for Time Interval
  6. Select the time unit from the Time Unit drop down menu. The options are:
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Year
  1. Select the locations from the Select Location drop down menu, or select group from the Select Group drop down menu.
  2. Click Display Report The report will be displayed below the page.

Signup Report

Signup report displays the reports of the new user signups.

To view Signup Report

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click Signup Report from the Reports table.
  4. Select the dates from the calendar for Time Interval
  5. Click Display Report The report will be displayed below the page.

Revenue Voucher Date Report

Plan Voucher Report displays the plan voucher Vs date report.

To view Plan Voucher Report

  1. Click Billing drop down link (in the left pane).
  2. Click Reports Billing Reports Index page will be displayed.
  3. Click Plan Voucher Report from the Reports Index table.
  4. Click Revenue (Voucher) Date Report Revenue (Voucher) Date Report page will be displayed.

  6. Select the time unit from the Time Unit drop down menu. The options are:

Revenue (Voucher) Location Report displays plan voucher Vs location report.

  4. Click Revenue (Voucher) Location Report tab (beside Revenue (Voucher) Date Report tab).

Voucher Revenue Report displays detailed report of plan vouchers Vs voucher group, and displays voucher revenue report.
