How to view the Ports Status

To view the port status

  1. Click on Network
  2. Click on Ports Status link (in the left pane) under Ports Network :: Ports Status page appears.

Fields & Buttons

Description

Name

Name field displays the name of the port. There are 4 types of ports:

WAN: Click the WAN link. Network :: WAN Port Settings page appears. It allows admin to configure WAN port settings.

1.    Select the type of port from the Type drop down menu. The options are:

·         Static: Select Static from the Type drop down menu.

a.    Enter the public IP address of the port in the IP Address field.

b.    Enter the netmask of the public IP address in the Netmask field.

c.    Enter the gateway IP address of the ISP connection in the Gateway field.

d.    Click Submit to save the changes.

·         Dynamic: Select Dynamic from the Type drop down menu. WAN port gets automatically configured, and all its settings are invoked automatically form your ISP connection.

·         3G: Select 3G from the Type drop down menu.

a.    Enter the username provided by the 3G provider in the Username field.

b.    Enter the password provided by the 3G provider in the Password field.

c.    Enter the dial in number provided by the 3G provider to establish the connection in the Dial in Number field.

·         PPOE: Select PPOE from the Type drop down menu.

a.    Enter the username provided by ISP in the Username field.

b.    Enter the password provided by ISP in the Password field.

c.    Enter the MRU (Maximum Receive Unit) provided by ISP in the MRU field.

d.    Enter the MTU (Maximum Transfer Unit) provided by ISP in the MTU field. The maximum value is 1492.

e.    Select Auto Reconnect check box to indicate whether the controller should attempt to reconnect if the connection breaks.

 

 

Bridge: Click the Bridge link. Network :: Bridge Port Settings page appears. It allows admin to configure Bridge port settings.

1.    Enter the Bridge network IP address in the Bridge Network field.

2.    Enter the netmask of your private LAN network which is bridged in the Netmask field.

3.    Select the bridge setup radio button. The options are: Wired, Wireless, Both.

4.    Select the appropriate radio button for Other Settings.

5.    Click Submit to save the changes.

 

LAN: Click the LAN link. Network :: LAN Port Settings page appears. It allows admin to configure LAN port settings

 

Wireless: Click the Wireless link. Network :: Wireless Port Settings page appears. It allows admin to configure Wireless port settings.
