How to configure Bridge Port Settings

To configure Bridge Port Settings

  1. Click Network
  2. Click the Ports link (Under Network tab).
  3. Click the Bridge Port link (in the left pane). Network :: Bridge Port Settings page appears.

Bridge Network

Enter the Bridge network IP address in the Bridge Network field.

Netmask

Enter the netmask of your private LAN network which is bridged in the Netmask field.

Bridge setup

Select the bridge setup radio button. The options are: Wired, Wireless, Both.

Other Settings

Enable DHCP IP

Select Yes radio button for Enable DHCP IP to enable Dynamic IP address which supports your bridge network. It will allow you to set the DHCP pool by specifying the IP address and Netmask of the DHCP range. Ensure that pool specified is subset of Bridge Network.

Enable Static IP

Select Yes radio button for Enable Static IP radio button to enable support to Framed-IP-Address sent by AAA server. Provide IP address, and Netmask which will determine the Static Pool which can be used to frame Clients Systems using its MAC Address to the IP’s from this pool. Ensure that pool specified is subset of Bridge Network.

Enable VLAN

Select Yes radio button for Enable VLAN to allow controller service to interpret VLAN tags sent by Managed Switches. Only port based VLANs are currently supported.

Enable Any IP

Select Yes radio button for Enable Any IP to allow any IP address of client's machine to be a part of UNIBOX LAN/Bridge network.

Note: Ensure that before enabling ANY IP, static pool is defined. Defining Static Pool is mandatory to enable ANY IP.

Enable HTTPS Redirection (Beta)

Select Yes radio button for Enable HTTPS Redirection (Beta) to serve login page to clients on secure URLs.

E.g. https://www.facebook.com. As of now this feature is in beta state.

Enable Persistent Sessions

Select Yes radio button for Enable Persistent Sessions to keep persistence session state of all authenticated users, even after controller reboots.

Enable Client To Client Isolation

Select Yes radio button for Enable Client To Client Isolation to create P2P link in between clients and UNIBOX gateway. This way client won't be able to communicate with each other.

Submit

Click Submit to save the changes.
