This document shows the steps on how to configure URL Filtering for filtering out unwanted internet traffic.
This page displays all groups based content filter policies defined in the system. The policies
are displayed in a table with Policy Name, Policy Id and Description and Group Names. The policy
will apply to all the groups defined in the rule.
1. Add the content filter policies-
For add the content filter polices we have to click on the ‘+’ icon. You will get the following page.
Add comma separated whitelist domain names and blacklist domain names which you want to add.
This page allows administrators to define (select) the domains that should be blocked by the content
filtering service. All websites that fall under these domains will be automatically blocked by the filter.
Unibox maintains a database of domains/urls that belong to each category. When the user tries to
access the domain, Unibox checks if the domain is in the blocked list and will block the user
access. The user is redirected to a blocked page.
Fields | Description |
Policy Name | An unique name for the group policy. |
Description | Short description about the policy. |
Group name | Select the user group for the policy. |
Whitelist Domain | Domain name (e.g. facebook.com) of the Whitelist URL. Enter comma separated multiple domain names for which you want to give access without authentication. |
Blacklist Domain | Domain name (e.g. facebook.com) of the Blacklist URL.Enter comma separate multiple domain names which you want to block. |
Category | Select the domains from the list that should be filtered. All websites that fall under these domains will be automatically blocked by the filter. |
Note- Administrator can also edit and delete the content filter polices.
