Configure WAN Profile

Step 1 - Network Configuration :

1.1 Navigate to Network>>WAN & add a new WAN Profile here.



Fields Description
Profile Name Enter the name of your WAN profile
Connection Type Select connection Type as Static or Dynamic
Traffic Share

Enter Traffic share of WAN connection.The traffic share decides the amount of LAN traffic going through WAN port. Default traffic share is 100 percentage.

Masquerade (NAT) Enable the checkbox if WAN connection should masquerade the traffic
Save Click Save to save the changes made


To take access of your Unibox from WAN side, you should know the WAN IP Address that you have mentioned while creating a new WAN profile network in step 1.

  1. If your connection type is Dynamic then you will have to search WAN IP Address in your Router against the MAC address of UNIBOX. (We have considered here that Unibox is getting internet from a router. Instead of router there might be anything like a firewall etc.)

MAC address of Unibox can be found at Network>>Interfaces>> Physical

  1. If your connection type is Static then, whatever IP you have configured in WAN Profile in unibox, you will get access of Unibox from that IP address only in your network.

  2. Refer below example for both type of connection for WAN profile.Dynamic Type:w1.pngStatic Type:

Select your connection type as Dynamic or Static, do necessary changes and then Save & Close.

Step 2 - After Creating a WAN Network Profile from above steps you will have to map the created WAN                Profile to the physical interface present in Unibox. For that refer below steps,

2.1 Navigate to Network>>Interfaces>>Physical

This section will contain all available “physical interfaces” that can be used, and which are present in your Unibox. Refer below image


2.2 This Unibox contains 3 Physical interfaces, from which we have taken access of Unibox using 1st physical interface i.e. eth0 which is by default default_lan.We recommend you that don’t use 1st interface for mapping LAN/WAN network, since it is used to take access of unibox in case when we are not getting access of Unibox from LAN/WAN IP Address.

2.3 For mapping created network on interface, go to operations in front of the interfaces and click         on configure.


2.4 So, here we are going to map our created WAN Network profile on eth1 interface i.e. 2nd interface,         refer below images,








2.5 Mapping of WAN Network has been done, as you can see it in above image.

2.6 Now Provide internet in 2nd port of your Unibox (since, we have mapped WAN network on

      eth1 which will be 2nd port in your unibox.)

2.7 Now try to take access of unibox using WAN IP from your network. Go to browser enter WAN IP,           you should get unibox login page.

Step 3 - Example

3.1 If your connection type is Dynamic type, then search what IP your unibox has got from your



3.2 MAC Address of your unibox has to be entered in your router as search parameter, to get the IP          address.


3.3 As you may have seen in step 2 router has given IP for unibox as ,

3.4 Now using this IP address i would be able to get access of Unibox from my network, as shown        below


3.5 If you get the below page when you hit your IP address then just add the exception to redirect        to Unibox Login page, as below



3.6 For Chrome browser, 




3.7 When a login Page appears then enter credentials as

username : admin

password : admin

and login.

3.8 After login you will see WAN has come UP on dashboard, this means your WAN                              configurations  are done properly. Refer below image for details,
